Thanks, this works. It also collapses date-based threading though,
perhaps the latter should be excluded?

Use Ctrl+Shift+ Plus to expand all threads and Ctrl+Shift+Minus to collapse all
threads, Asterisk toggles the expanded state of all threads.

I don't know about a button but the keyboard shortcut CTRL*
expands/collapses all threads when the focus is in the message list.
For a single thread, it's CTRL+ to expand and CTRL- to collapse.

And "menu navigator" doesn't appear if I try from a "separate message
viewer" folder window.

Hello,

Surely there is a button to collapse all threads... Somewhere. I have
used "menu navigator", but so far was unable to find one. Any hints?

Collapse All Threads - How?

2004-05-27 Thread John Cunnane
Hi All,

Can someone explain to me how to collapse all threads in a message
list. I know that Shift+Ctrl+* expands all threads but what's the
reverse?

That's odd. Your shortcut works for collapsing all threads here. For
expanding it is ctrl+num*...

Don't know why it went weird. My keyboard response became very strange
and a re-boot has fixed it. All works fine now and the shortcuts work
as you say. Thanks for the help.
