Editing windows status bar bug

2003-10-21 Thread rich gregory
Hello The Bat! developers,

I'm using The Bat! Version 2.00.6
  Serial Number 0BF3223D
  under Windows 98 4.10 Build A
and would like to report a bug

  The bug description:

There is a bug methinks in the message editing window. No matter the toggled position
of the Ins key, the status reported at the bottom of the screen ALWAYS says Overwrite.

  Steps to reproduce the bug:

Edit a new email message and press Ins. The status reported at the bottom of the
screen never changes even though the editor DOES toggle INS + overwrite.

Not confirmed on using The Bat! v2.01.03 on Windows XP

Quoting when replying to this message is good for your karma.

If debugging is the process of removing bugs, then programming must be
the process of putting them in.

CONFIRMED that the toggle does not update in the status bar but only
when using
Options - Message Format Plain Text (Windows)
(in my case it always shows Insert)
the other 3 settings show the toggle state properly.

On mine, the To: CC: Subject: fields do not allow OVERWRITE, but the
body switches back and forth just fine.
