Error Messages
Hello TB User Discussion List, I've been getting a pair of error messages in my error file (thebat_Exceptions.log) each time I start TB!. This began after a power outage shut down my system. The two messages follow - does anyone know what these messages are trying to tell me? ex_log.txt error messages
Batfolk, I have found a file called ex_log.txt in my mail directory. In it is a list of error messages that appears to have a set of entries for each time I have started up TB! since I upgraded to v3.85.01 back in September. Another thing to try if you ever get the error again - disable the e-mail scanning option on your anti-virus if you have one and it is set to scan e-mail. I can't remember the exact error text, but it sounds like the same error I used to get. There was a problem between my anti-virus (Trend PC-cillin) and The Bat! It used to work fine, then one day errors started to appear, mainly when I sent e-mails from memory. I suspect it was probably a signature or engine update on PC-cillin that caused the problem (I had PC-cillin set to automatically update every 12 hours). Anyway, whatever the problem, PC-cillin and The Bat! just don't like each other, so I've had to disable the e-mail (both incoming and outgoing) scan options in PC-cillin. Email Accounts Down - No Error messages in TB!
Hello TBUDL, I have a few email accounts down on one domain. TB! does not show any error messages on either send or shows 0 emails to receive on test. I know that some of the accounts should be receiving email, since they are used for mail lists. I've checked a few of the mail lists' web interface and new emails have been sent. These email accounts have a web interface to access. I've access one of the web interfaces which did not show any of the previously sent test emails. I am able to successfully send and receive on other accounts. I have contacted the provider but it is most likely it will be some time before hearing back from them. I feel this is most likely a mail server problem with the provider, but any ideals to narrow or identify the problem would be appreciated? What I don't understand is why TB! does NOT provide any error messages on either send or receive of email. Any ideals that would help expedite this would be greatly appreciated? Well you said they moved an account (maybe the offending account) to a different server. Some ISPs have mail servers setup (if large enough) to have a single collecting server, but several servers running behind it with the accounts on it. If they'd moved the account from one server to another due to load issues, the single access point might have pointed you to the wrong server for collection... just speciculation... probably something worth taking up with your ISP. -- Jonathan Angliss ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Current Ver: 1.61 FAQ: http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Bug Reports: https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/

TB! Error messages - access violation
Hello TBUDL, Twice today I have had error messages from TB! Once when trying to do a mailto from within another programe, and once just now when I tried to close TB! The first error message I got was: access violation at address 00683B1E. Read of address . The second error message was the same except the first lot of numbers was different - sorry, I clicked OK before I wrote them down :-( What do these errors mean? What do I do about them?
