Re[2]: Flagging folders containing flagged messages
DH Even if this is not TBBETA I sent another Me too. It was always DH annoying me that I had to mark a message unread to see with one glance DH which folder has important messages in it. I raised this issue last week I think and agree entirely that it would be useful. -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 On Sun, 10 Jun 2001 23:12:25 -0500, Dwight contributed this to our collective wisdom: ... DAC While checking my TBUDL mail just now, I noticed that I had flagged a DAC message containing how to information because when I have some extra DAC time I want to go back and use that information to fiddle with some DAC templates. I realized that because I usually review my messages DAC based upon creation time, quite likely that flag will sink toward the DAC bottom and I will never see it again by the time I have the time to DAC need the reminder. The advanced filtering may help in this regard. You can set TB! to display only flagged messages. Another tool is alt+left clicking on items in the message list. This will lead to only entries with what you alt+clicked on will be displayed. So you could alt+click on the flag of a flagged message and only flagged messages will be displayed. This display will lock across folders so you could then move to other folders which in turn will display only flagged messages. You switch back to the complete list by hitting the escape key. - -- A. TF This won't work. If you have a hundred folders, you you would have to TF to click on each one of them to see whether there are any flagged TF messages. How about parked messages then or ones you've specially colour labelled? If you forgot where the message is, this is where the search can also come in. It will search in a folder, in a folder and it's sub-folders, a whole account or all accounts. In the advanced tab of the search utility, you can toggle on 'message is flagged' and it will search for only flagged messages. There are ways to deal with the problem without adding folder markers. - -- A. Curtis Martin List Moderator (and fellow registered end-user) Using The Bat!
