That's it! Thanks a lot!

And that made me wondering: how did I managed to hit all those keys
simultaneously? And why should I do that?

The answer: Central European ISO-8859-2 (and Windows 1250) message
encoding on my computer requre to hit for "?"
character and that key code is exactly the same as
 !

I'll post this experience to the local e-mail group devoted to e-mail
clients (there are a lot of The Bat! user here in Yugoslavia) and
probably save hours of frustration to somebody.

Thanks again.

Try hitting . This toggles menu modes from the full
menu items to abbreviated menus where many of the configuration options
are removed,

Loosing [Network & Administration] menu item

2000-08-13 Thread Mihailo Krstiæ

Hello,

Occasionally, on my single Win 98 Pentium PC I loose [Options |
Network & Administration] menu item (and a lot of other). I've noticed
that with the 1.44 version. The same repeats with version 1.45.

Sometimes the time lapse between "accidents" is 2-3 months. But
tonight it happens just 30 minutes after I reinstalled the 1.45
version!

I've noticed that some missing menu items are still available via hot
keys (example: Ctrl+Shift+S for Sorting office still works).

And finally (maybe the problems are connected), when I uninstall The
Bat! using [Settings | Add/Remove Programs], sometimes
reinstallation doesn't give me the opportunity to change "Machine
mode" - maybe because there are still entries in the Registry
concerning "RIT" and "The Bat" strings.

Any suggestions, please?
