Hello Stephane, On Friday, June 29, 2007, you wrote: I don't like proportional serif fonts, so is there any way that I can get TheBat to default to a sans font? SB Of course : configure TB! to display every message in text only, SB and configure your favorite font in the viewer configuration. That is indeed what I do, for a diminishing number of my sources. As has been mentioned in this forum before, more and more people are sending mails that *only* make sense when rendered in html (forms, tables etc). In my are of business using TheBat is a luxury. Most people have Outlook/Notes imposed on them by the IT strategy of their employer. OT Frankly, if Outlook were even a *little* bit more competent at e-mail handling I'd probably migrate just for a quiet life! I'm also interested in Outlook 2007's ability to integrate with desktop search engines another area where I feel that Ritlabs is missing core usability/functionality (IMAP anyone?) for fluff. /OT And as for all those that tell me that Thunderbird is just as powerful as TheBat!... sigh -- Nick | [EMAIL PROTECTED] Current version is 3.99 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Microsoft's Calibri font
Hello, More and more of my html e-mails are arriving from Outlook 2007 with the Calibri font: style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif; I don't have this font on my XP box, so TheBat renders it as Times New Roman (as far as I can see). I don't like proportional serif fonts, so is there any way that I can get TheBat to default to a sans font? I suppose plan B would be to download the offending font, but I'd rather not at the moment... This looks like a bug, since the style definitely specifies sans-serif as an alternative if Calibri isn't found. No, it specifies a font named sans-serif. Had a default sans-serif font been intended, the line should have read: font-family:Calibri,sans-serif; In this case, quotes do make a difference. See: http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS2/fonts.html#font-family-prop In other words, The Bat! is doing what is has been told to do. Since it can find neither Calibri nor sans-serif, it defaults to its default serifed font, Times New Roman. -- Chris Using The Bat! v3.99.3 on Windows Vista 6.0 Build 6000. Accessing a POP3 mailbox.
