Seems OK now. Presumably the existence of the spurious directory was
preventing the file being saved with the same name.

Thanks all.

I think you've found the problem, at least. For the problem account,
that file was a directory. For the other acounts, it is a file.

I'll report back after I've restarted the program.

Could be related to access rights in the windows registry.

This was a Beta problem (1.62b1/4) But it was solved in Beta5, witch
you are using. Try to delete the ACCOUNT.CFG directory in the
\MAIL\accountname\ directory of The Bat!

Now a question about losing settings

2003-01-28 Thread Iain Harrison
Heartened by the speedy reply to my last question, here's another:

I have two accounts defined in TB: one for work, one for non-work.
Bother collect mail when requested.

I alos have a third account, which collects spam, and I collect it
from time to time to check for false positives in the spam-trapping
systems on my mail server.

The problem is that every time I restart TheBat!, it loses the mail
server settings of the third account. It forgets the server name, the
user name for smtp and the user name and password for pop3.

Any suggestions?
