Yes, that was it. Thank you for the explanation. -- Jack Current version is 4.2.42 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

It was set to the MicroEd setting but the checkbox below it, reply to html in plain text, wasn't checked. Changing that fixed it. I appreciate the response. -- Jack Current version is 4.2.42 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Click on that arrow, choose Customize and find The Bat! entry. It is probably set to "Show only notifications". Change it to "show icon and notifications" to make it appear in the system tray (now called Notification Area). -- Bill McQuillan Using The Bat! 5.0.12 on Windows 7 6.1 build 7601-Service Pack 1 Current version is 4.2.42 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Re: Problems on Windows 7
Oops, I sent this before it was complete. While typing the second problem I thought to see if there was a setting for it and there is. I went back to edit that text and sent by mistake. I see though that my text was not formatted properly. I have the editor to go to a new line at 70 characters. It is doing it now as I type but when the message shows on the list, there's no limit. Guess I still have two problems. :) J> Hi, J> I recently moved my installation from an XP to a Windows 7 J> computer. There were a lot of problems relating to disk (paths not J> found). Problems on Windows 7
Hi, I recently moved my installation from an XP to a Windows 7 computer. There were a lot of problems relating to disk (paths not found). TB support said to rename the registry section for TB and that seems to have taken care of most of the problems I was having. But it removed all of my settings and I can't seem to get them back to where they were. I'm wondering if it is due to being on Windows 7 or if there is a setting mistake. I have two main problems right now: - When I reply to some emails, the persons text is in a block with a solid bar down the side. I vaguely remember having this problem when I upgraded to V3, I think, and it was due to how the editor was setup. But I set that to plain text and for some emails the text is quoted as separate lines. - In XP, the icon for TB was in the system tray. Windows 7 doesn't see to have a way to place it there and places it in the task bar.
