I WANT OE to be my default mail handler and reserve The Bat! for a special purpose since The Bat! doesn't work with Lotus Organizer in MAPI mode. I tried doing as you did the other direction but mailto: still has problems. Problems with mailto: links
I have been trying out The Bat! and it seems to have problems playing with Outlook Express. For now, I want OE to be my default mail handler but The Bat! seems to disable this even though I have it set not to check and it is NOT installed as the Simple MAPI handler NOR is it associated with Mailto:'s in the accounts. HOWEVER, if I click on a mailto: link ANYWHERE on my system, it opens about 40 copies of Internet Explorer with the mailto: URL in the URL address line. How do I fix this? It seems to happen when OE becomes unregistered as the Default mail handler and the only thing that would unregister OE is The Bat!
