Hallo Lawrence,

On Fri, 2 Jan 2004 00:23:31 -0600GMT (2-1-04, 7:23 +0100, where I
live), you wrote:

In case you'd like to save any of these messages, try to copy it/them
to another folder. (Moving won't work.)
Now close TB and delete the messages.tbi and messages.tbb files from
the directory corresponding with your inbox.
When you start TB, it'll create the files anew (but empty) and the
problem will be gone.

No. But you could move the good messages to another folder, shut down
TB! and then delete the .tbi and .tbb files from the Inbox folder via
explorer. To find the Inbox folder in Explorer, just go to your TB!
installation directory, then into the mail directory. There'll be
directories with the same name as your accounts. Inside the account
directories there are corresponding directories for all your TB! account
folders.

I got around the problem partially by creating a new account with identical settings.
I can still access the other "good" folders in the old account. The messages in the
old InBox are probably unretrievable.

Just curious---what is the purpose of the InBox Known folder that started appearing in
The Bat! many versions ago?
