Yes, there is. But if I uncheck that, the respective folder disappears
not only from

INBOX.MyFolder

but also from

MyFolder.

There is no listing of "MyFolder" in "Manage folders", only (!) of
"Inbox.MyFolder".

Is there no Plus sign beside the Inbox?

I know that. The problem is that in this dialog ("Manage folders")
there is only one instance of the folder, not the two that are shown
in message list. The "Manage folders" dialog is exactly the way the
folders exist on the server, only the "Folder list" is not.

Right click on your account name and Select Manage IMAP folders. There you can
choose which folders you want to subscribe to. Just un-select the ones you
don't
want.

That dosn't seem possible either: In Account/Manage IMAP folders there
is only one instance listed, the INBOX.* hierarchy. I can see
"INBOX.Myfolder" there, but not ".MyFolder".

I don't know if it is by design, but it does happen. If your email is showing
up
in both folders, then just unsubscribe from the folders you don't want to see.
