No, you do either a restore or copy your saved mail directory, it amounts to the same. -- Groetjes, Roelof Moderator: Move it to another echo, please. If you check "Addressbook" as part of your backup, it will be there. You should check everything to be backed up and you will be fine. -- Best regards, Richardmailto:the...@newmangroup.com === Using The Bat! v5.0.26.10 (ALPHA) on Windows XP6 Build 7601 Service Pack 1 Current version is 4.2.42 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

The proper way to restore a backup is placing the backup file on the new system, install TB and on the first run you tell TB to restore from backup. After the restore you close TB and restart it. That way even the registry settings should be restored >> My solution was to copy the folder structure to the new system and >> then install TheBat into this folder structure. Yes, the only things that won't be preserved this way are the registry settings like window size and placement. -- Groetjes, Roelof Moderator alert! Well, yes ma'amsorry. I tried the Backup - Restore solution without success. Restore can not "merge" the restore if you had already fetched some mails from the mail server. My solution was to copy the folder structure to the new system and then install TheBat into this folder structure.
