Re: Netscape Send Page setting

Hello all,

This is my second request on this one. Perhaps no one has an answer

I've set TB to be my default mailer in Netscape 4.75 and that works
 fine.

On the File menu in Netscape, there appears Send Page. It is a means
of sending the URL of a page one is currently viewing to someone else
in an email message. When I click on this, TB does not come up. A
Netscape mail form comes up instead. This is annoying since I can't
get to my address book from the Netscape mail form.

Any ideas as to whether or not I can make a TB mail form come up
 instead of a Netscape form?

Yes. For this function is needed SimpleMAPI. Stefan implements this
support in actual 1.47 beta's and if it will be ready, You will find
it in official 1.47 version :-))

Hello Michael other fellow TB! Users,

No. I kinds of doubt it. But one of the things I liked about
Netscape was just that: the ability send pages from it.

All I can think of is:

a).- Call up your TB! address book from TB! and paste from it into
the Netscape send page form;

b].- Save the page in Netscape and use TB! to send it as
an attachment; or

c].- Use Netscape to send it to yourself (configure Netscape to put
your email address in the bcc slot automatically, then change the
bcc to TO: (it´s easy); send it to yourself, receive it w/ TB! and
redirect it to the party you want it to get to.

None of the above constitutes an very elegant solution (sorry), but
I noticed the same thing happening before I changed browsers to
Opera (which doesn't send pages - not from the version I have).
However, Opera is more likely to be responsive re getting that
feature implemented.
