Re: The Bat! v3.5 Final fails to install...
Well, I tried to install The Bat! again when the final version came out. What happened again was that the installation process stops and I what pops up on the screen is the enclosed files It appears that there are a number of us having problems with this installer. There are a number of threads on TBBETA about this issue at the moment - but no consensus about why it's happening or how to resolve it. -- Regards, Clive Taylor Current version is 3.5 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

The Bat! v3.5 Final fails to install...: It seems like The Bat setup file (thebat_professional.smi) are searching for a file to start the uninstall process of the old version. And when the setup file doesn't find the file it obviously need to start that process the whole installation process stops! I have never installed The Bat on this machine. Most people on this list know how I make backups and also how I transfer from one PC to another. I just backed up registry entries, copied the whole TB folder from one machine to another and run the reg file. The Bat doesn't appear in my add/remove list and the latest msi file installed without a hitch. It will show up in the list now as I run the installer but I personally don't think that's your problem. -- Tony. M. You should have selected 'alter' for TB's entry in the software panel, that would give you the options to modify/repair/delete. See if TB is still left in the software panel of configuration screen and get rid of it. -- Groetjes, Roelof The shortest distance between two Points is a BossNode.
