Re[2]: Fwd: Dynamically linking attachments

1999-11-28 Thread Douglas Hinds

Hello tracer & all fellow TBUDL members,

my saying I was getting outgoing attachments put in my TB's attach file:

The problem was that I had sent myself a bcc copy of that message and
had forgotten that. So what I was seeing was not what I thought it
was. The file had come in with the bcc. But thanks for the tip about
dragging a file to to TB edit mail window, and sorry about the false
alarm.

Re[2]: Fwd: Dynamically linking attachments - False Alarm

1999-11-26 Thread Douglas Hinds

Hello Ali & all fellow TBUDL members,

Thursday, November 25, 1999, 8:15:10 PM, you wrote in response to my
saying:

AM>'Bind attachments only while sending out mail'

Ali, I already had that checked..

*Now* I see what I did wrong. (I really should get more sleep).

I had opened a new message from a different account, that implements
the auto self bcc reply template and *later* changed the option to
this account. So what I was seeing was due to *incoming* mail. I was
looking at the attach folder of the receiving account.

I just sent myself a message with attachment and on changing the name
of the file sent, the copy left in the sent folder of the sending
account will *NOT* open the file (this means that the icon is simply a
short cut), nor was any file put in the attach folder of the sending
account. So everything's fine in the mudville, although it looks like
apologies are in order for the false alarm.
