SL: Update: I just installed ver 3.70.07 Message body is still not downloaded but the body IS donwloaded when I specifically/manually activate synchronise command ... Perhaps I should confine myself to 'lesser' email clients (Opera M2, Outlook Express, ThunderBird 1.5) which handle IMAP with no dramas ;-) SteveL -- Best regards, SLmailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Using The Bat! Hmm...I am now in the Voyager...and IMAP...with the same settings as in Pro ver 3.65.03 on my hard drive is doing the same thing...ie not downloading message bodies(unless I click on the message) On another matter, I note that the latest/current version of Voyager (which basically is a type of the professional version) is 3.65.02 (not 3.65.03) Later I might see if I can find the the beta version (3.70.07???) and try that... -- Thanks, Stephenmailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] 8:49 AM Monday, 6 February 2006 Using The Bat! Re[2]: IMAP setup
Hello Allie (and original questioner), >> I often see Allie talking about problems using a server side Outbox. I >> assume this is not a problem for Sentmail and Trash. AM> No. Those others work fine server side. Could you write me in private, Allie, what is the problem with the Outbox? It seems, that we will solve the counter/auto connect/disconnect problem soon (see my todays mail to TBBETA), so then I will check this Outbox problem out in details. >> Yes I see that it would be useful, however, I don't think the Trash >> part is working correctly. It does not seem to delete as expected. The >> mail only seems to get marked for deletion and not deleted unless you >> specifically compress the folder. I think this is one of Tony's >> complaints. It compress just fine if you have a continuous connection (dont use "Auto disconnect after x time" (Properties, Mail management) yet, we are working to fix that part, I think we are pretty close) and set "Compress when changing folders" at Account, Properties, IMAP fine tune. Also, when Managing folders (right click on the account name) set the Synchronization ON for all or your subscribed folders (I would suggest to set Subscribe and Synchronize for your IMAP server side Inbox, Outbox, Sent, Trash folders). This way for me, compressing seems to work fine. Mulberry (Tony's favorite) delete the mail immediately, that is why TB! is different for Tony... -- Vili Current version is 3.5.25 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Yes I see that it would be useful, however, I don't think the Trash part is working correctly. It does not seem to delete as expected. The mail only seems to get marked for deletion and not deleted unless you specifically compress the folder. I think this is one of Tony's complaints.
