OK maybe this situation, assuming its so, hasn't been improved
in the newer versions, but I don't understand how you use TB!.

Of course this is none of my biz but "while thousands of
messages in outboxes (saved drafts), sent and trash folders are
counted" only involves 3 folders which is easily manageable.
And I don't understand, are you operating an eMail server vs
TB! for personal use? I thought I had a lot of traffic but gee
whiz Are you building an archive? Do you delete or compress
  at all?

I responded to Douglas' original msg. While "Hide" may not
solve the default MT settings on new folders, it does seem to
"Hide" the MT no matter what the folder default setting is.
Perhaps its a matter of TB! version DH is working with 1.42 but
in 1.48-9 (my experience), this seems to work ok. However, if
I'm missing something else, plse point it out to me.

  Thank you.

Yes that's true, but, as a practical matter, it does solve the
problem doesn't it? Douglas didn't want to see the ticker &
instead of changing all the folder options, he could have done
it the one step listed above. Or am I missing something?
