The installer tells you of changes before you install, the
download page has a readme file and I bet there'll be a txt info
file in the program directory if I look.

Did you look?

I would love to but as with VA I never got involved with the beta

This has been an ongoing thing since the 2.0 beta series, still
exists, I'm using the latest beta, and I'm testing if it does it
again.

Go to the account options, check the "Use OpenPGP", and "Sign on
complete". When I have these checked, TB doesn't do anything when I
hit send.

As a note on this, I've just installed TB on my new laptop, this
laptop hasn't had TB installed before (only just installed Windows on
thursday), I don't have my registration key put in yet, this is very
much an "out of the box" IMAP install. I've not changed any settings
(except the two mentioned above) to see if I still get this bad
behaviour.

It seems that RapidFX said ...

I, too, have been using The Bat for several years. Some programs have
a more modern interface (Eudora, for example) but are nowhere near as
flexible as The Bat. I understand, though, how a new user could be
left dazed by the wealth of opportunities this program offers. I have
found no other e-mail program on this planet that even comes close to
offering The Bat's abilities. The downside is what new users
experience -- they are simply overwhelmed.

Reading the documentation would help, but not as much as it should
because the documentation is far too sparse. The on-line FAQ helps and
so does this discussion list.

I spent last weekend using Eudora exclusively for a report I'm working
on and continuously found things that I could not do. On Monday, when
I returned to The Bat, everything felt right again.

Hello...

First off, do not put words in my mouth.
You do not know of what you speak.
I am amazed at all the people who took offense to my post.
I got a lot of off-list emails from some not so happy humans.
I am sorry if you all took my post to be some sort of insult on all
the people who have problems.
Looking at my original post, I see some sort of statement such as
this:

"I know that means nothing to those that do seem to have issues..."

I am tired of seeing so many posts from people spewing that "TheBat!
did this evil thing to my system", or "If this isn't fixed, I am going
back to FREE OE blah blah.."
Reading through the past two weeks, I don't see a lot of positive
remarks about TheBat! so I posted one. I hear people at work talking
bad about TheBat!, I hear people on the list talking bad. I was tired
of it and I posted, what I thought was positive, remarks on my years
of use of TheBat!
I made an attempt to defend what I think is a GREAT product.
Far much more than any other email client.
Now go get some coffee and stop worrying that I may have somehow tried
to insult you.

Thanks, here it is (seems that the "@" replace the "%cursor") :

%CURSOR

Even if I delete the Rogue line in the template, the "@" appears in the editor
when I create a new mail...

Sure ! I 've made a test and insert the string "TEST" in the template I use to
be sure. I can see TEST and @

I've made an other test : I 've deleted the template, and directly type %CURSOR
in properties of the account at \template\new message... Same thong occurs : a
@ instead of the Cursor !

ASK> Is it this: https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=5256 maybe?

Exactly what I have ! If I switch to Micro Ed for new mail instead of
HTML/PlainText, the problem doesn't occur !

It seems to be fixed in 3.62.07... I just had a look at Ritlabs Web Site, but
the version available is always the version of 28 oct. that I downloaded it 2
days ago and it was the 3.62.05. How can I reach the 3.62.07 that bugtrack say
this problem is solved in it ? I hope it is not a beta...

Silent release... Not nice method for user that want to follow the releases
because have bugs to solved... ;-)

I try it and come back in few minutes...

Thanks for advice.
