AMYou didn't tell us how you have PC-Cillin '03 configured.
My appologizies!

AMDo you have it doing a POP3 scan?
Yes

AMDo you have the firewall that comes with it enabled?
No

AMWhat are you specifically doing when TB! slows down?
AMChecking mail? Or is it that you're doing nothing specific?
I'm not doing anything specific. the slow down is immediate, as soon
as I open the Bat it is almost impossible to move the mouse around and
then everything just stops. I have gone into my msconfig and stopped
PC-cillin from loading up at start-up. Even if
I start up with just explore and systray and then start PCcillin then
the bat I get the same problem. As long as PCcillin is not running the
Bat is just fine.

AM What OS are you running?
Win '98 SE

AM What is your system RAM size and processor speed?
AMD 800 Mhz; 384 RAM

AMWe need more details so we don't have to stab in the dark for a
AMsolution.

I wouldn't do that, I use both (on different computers), and you're
not improving your security by changing one for the other.
With PC-Cillin, there's no need for a plugin.

Now, I still use PC-Cillin 2000 (2002 version)(automatically updated,
of course). I did not upgrade yet because I use ZoneAlarm Pro and
I'm not sure if one can disable the firewall that comes with
PC-Cillin 2003.

I had allready deleted the original message, so I do not know the name
of the original poster (AM?), but is he _really_ sure he has disabled
or fine-tuned that part of the program?
