Thomas,

Right now, it is set for Plain Text (MicroEd) Micro Star Compatible.
Are you suggesting that I change it to Plain Text (Windows) Windows
Compatible? Other than my problem of copying that has been solved,
what are the pluses and minuses of MicroEd over Windows?

Thanks.

It happens when I try to copy text from an incoming message, always.

Here is a scenario: Another list to which I subscribe uses the L-Soft
Listserv product. I send a search message. The listserv responds with
extracts of archived messages that qualify, and even sends me the
command to obtain all of the:

GETPOST listname 123456 234567 345678 456789

I'd like to copy that command and paste it into a new message back to
the listserv rather than going the F4 route. When I paste into a new
message, what is pasted is what was on my clipboard previously.

Meanwhile, Allie Martin's suggestion has helped.

Thanks. That worked.

What do you mean by "alternative Windows editor?" and how can I use
the standard, bug-free editor?
