Do you know of any way to make The Bat! receive the messages for
folders?  I have synchronization set to retrieve all on most folders,
but my display stays as follows:

Junk Mail      1 <*>    4 <*>
TBBeta         1 <*>    32 <31>

Periodically, The Bat! will run through the folders and they will
update to:

Junk Mail      1     4
TBBeta         1     32

with the numbers in bold, but they will promptly reset to the prior
display.  I assumed that the sync function to download All Messages
would alleviate this problem.
