As there are so many updates it's more effort to constantly hack the
exe every time than register. I don't know about key gens though.
Version 2 may implement a rather nice key gen as I saw some rather
free/cheap delphi code for this. Works a bit like RSA key pairs.

maybe a language problem. Living in Thailand as I do its amazing how
many people speak English and manage to totally confuse each other...
Probably not much better with Moldavia.

Secondly considering that all their docs are way out of date I wouldnt
be surprised if that statement also has survived where it shouldnt...

No I don't think so either. I overreacted there, I apologize sincerly.

I think that line is just one of those loose ends - some day it will
be tied up, I'm sure.

As earlier said - the one thing TB isn't lacking is features.

Hmm. I always thought that multiple account support was disabled after
the evaluation period expired and *that* was the "features available
only for registered users".

ÖH> The hackers will hack in any case. The people who is willing to pay
ÖH> should be treated in a honest way.

Oh, I don't think there was ever an intent to deceive here. If what I
say about multiple accounts is not true, it certainly used to be. They
may not have kept the prompt up to date with reality if that has now
changed.

be errors in the wording of some statements. This is one example it
would appear. :-)

That's very good. Still, the first thing that meets your eye in the
"How to register" page under the Help menu is the line:

That's what I thought too. Unfortunately, by the time most people
discover the full power of TB, they've been long registered users.

I think the only thing that's crippled is the startup screen. The
other thing I noticed is that unregistered users have the Serial
Number displayed in the Mailer header.

Registered user features?

2000-09-14 Thread Östen Häggmark

I have been trying the Bat for some weeks, and the decision to
register the Bat was not a hard one to make. I never felt so at home
with an email-client, even if it's going to take some time to learn to
use it properly. The TBUDL-list is a very good way of doing that, I
have found out.

But as I was looking into the "How to register" page I noticed the
line "use features available only for registered users."

I can't find any references to these features. Of course there already
are more features than I can use, but now that I'm registered, at
least it would be fun to know which they are :-)
