I often, but not always, get a FETCH error when TheBat!
performs its first check for new mail when I start it up
in the morning. It is configured to check automatically,
so I just hear the sound that indicates an error and I
find something like this in my log:

 11/18/2021, 06:56:53: FETCH - receiving mail messages
 11/18/2021, 06:56:53: FETCH - Connecting to POP3 server mail.$$$$$$$$$.com on
port 995
 11/18/2021, 06:56:53: FETCH - Initiating TLS handshake
>11/18/2021, 06:56:53: FETCH - Certificate S/N: FFFFFFFF, algorithm: RSA (512
>bits), issued from 11/7/2014 1:41:42 PM to 11/2/2034 1:41:42 PM, for 1
>host(s): mail.$$$$$$$$$.com.
>11/18/2021, 06:56:53: FETCH - Owner: "US", "State", "City", "Company Name,
>Inc.", "email service", "mail.$$$$$$$$$.com", "postmaster@$$$$$$$$$.com".
>11/18/2021, 06:56:53: FETCH - This certificate is self-issued.
 11/18/2021, 06:56:53: FETCH - TLS handshake complete
 11/18/2021, 06:56:53: FETCH - connected to POP3 server
 11/18/2021, 06:56:54: FETCH - authenticated (plain)
!11/18/2021, 06:56:55: FETCH - Server reports error. The response is: rack.us;
receiver=<UNKNOWN>

The "rack.us" part of the example changes almost every time
the error occurs.

Can anyone help me to understand what is happening? I had
originally suspected some sort of infection on my desktop
or maybe even our mail server, but I've used several different
bootable (from optical disk) scanning tools and all report both
systems to be clean.

Any ideas?

Oh, I should mention that when I'm paying attention (like this
morning when I captured this example) I click TB!'s "Receive
New Mail" button on the toolbar immediately after the FETCH
error is reported and TB! calmly connects to my mail server and
downloads last night's mail with no issues.

This error seems to happen only ONCE per run, and only on the
very FIRST (automatic) attempt to "Receive New Mail"
