Strange filtering on IMAP account

2005-12-23 Thread Gary Lucas
Greetings, 09:45, Thursday, December 22,
2005

I recently moved from a POP to an IMAP mail server. The setup seemed to go
fairly easy, but my incoming mail filters now behave strangely on the IMAP
account. Sometimes they don't run and I must run then manually. If they are
supposed to mark a message as read, the last message put in a folder is
never marked as read. I upgraded from 3.62 to the latest version, but that
didn't help.

Further, the IMAP message counts are wrong. Currently they show I have 11
unread out of 31 total in the input folder, when in fact 29 have been moved
to other folders and the two remaining have both been read. I've turned off
all synchronization, so that's not it. The count corrects itself if I
compress the folder.

Any ideas?

These are known issues with IMAP in TB! at the moment. Your best hope
is to keep up with the beta versions as they come out and hope for
improvements.
