You also have to send+check messages regularly. for me, that's every 5
minutes on this account, and live enough for me. Others complained
early that TB couldn't check in periods of less than one minute, so
that's why they have introduced seconds-steps. That sho0uld be live
enough for everyone. ;-)

Hi all,

I  will  be  a  cable  modem  user in the next 2 - 3 days, and I was
wondering  if  someone would be so kind as to tell me how to switch from
my current DUN to the 'always on' accessibility through TB!? Many thanks

I also use a cable modem. It's easy to set it up:

In your main menu, click Options, Network and Administration

Under Connect to Internet using click the radio button for Local
Area or manual connection

I also have my machine running as Workstation with TCP/IP

That's what I did and I've never had any problems. The only thing I
had to do was tell my firewall that TB! could access the Internet.
