Does such a thing exist?

Yes it does... But you should be on the beta list to play with it, and
you require a new registration key specially for version 2 if using v2
b2 or higher.

Yes. It is currently being tested. Actual beta is no.3.

How does one go about getting on the beta list? I have heard nothing
from RITLABS about any release since I bought the program a couple of
years ago

Scroll down to the very bottom of the page, where it says, Other
Useful Links.
Click on: Subscribe to TBBETA.

I'm not subscribed myself, but found this the other day when looking
for something else. :)  It constructs a subscribe e-mail for you to
send.
