Hi Chris! > That is correct. The .cnt contains the help file's table of contents. > The .gid file contains the index used when searching. I belive that > both can be safely deleted. No good idea to delete the .cnt as you will lose your content. The GID file is autogenerated and normally hidden. The content is authored and therefore part of the installation. -- Regards, Raymund Current version is 3.00.00 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

When I'm keeping my mouse cursor above them I get a yellow thingie with a description lngversion.exe : THEBAT.LNG Companion File and DelMSI.exe : removes shortcuts and datafiles So I guess the first has to do with TB's language settings and the second with uninstalling TB. I think the latter is the replacement for the batdel.exe that I found in the TB 2.12 setup on one of my other systems. -- Groetjes, Roelof The Bat! 3.0.0.16 Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 1 1 pop3 account, server on LAN Disclaimer: Any opinion stated in this message is not necessarily shared by my budgies or rabbits. pgpZG42PeJLpj.pgp Description: PGP signature Current version is 3.00.00 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
