Filter Logs
Hi, Can someone tell me where to find the filter log (re-filter mail, log option checked) in v3.64.01? -- Regards, Chris Current version is 3.64.01 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
filter logs
Hi, Is there any way to view a log for what the filters have been doing? I haven't been receiving any messages in my Inbox over the past few days for one of my accounts even though the connection center says that messages were received. I've looked in there, and there is nothing about filters. All that is listed is messages sent, messages received. I want to find out why a filter that should be working is not working, but I can't do it without some sort of log. The 'log filtering results' option is ticked, but if that is where the log is, then nothing is produced. -- Chris Current version is 3.65.03 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

I just got a log entry which reads: >17/01/2006, 21:07:55: FETCH - received message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] (3768 >bytes) (processed by "TBUDL"), URL: msgid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Cheers, Thomas. For example, Incoming filters include a FETCH line. > I want to find out why a filter that should be working is not working, > but I can't do it without some sort of log. The 'log filtering resul > ts' option is ticked, but if that is where the log is, then nothing is > produced. You can test filters by selecting a message in your Message List pane, right clicking on it and selecting 'Test filter'. With this, you get direct feedback of what filters are triggered and the action that "would have been taken". That is, because it is just a test, actions are not actually taken. -- Best regards, Miguel A. It tells you what filter rule "Processed by..." Or you can try an application to view these things. TB Log Analyzer. http://www.zentrumderarbeit.org/TheBat!/tb_log/tb_log_analyzer.zip (284k) The author has said it hasn't been updated in a long time. But I guess the TB filtering processes haven't changed much. -- Best regards, Adam Current version is 2.00.6 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Just to clarify, the drop-down and the Account / Show Log is the same log ;). And I made sure that one of my filters had the log options set and refiltered a folder and I got this message in the log: 2006-01-17, 15:44:43: FETCH - Message from Someones Name, subject "Test Subject", size 6 828 bytes filtered (processed by "Test Folder"), URL: msgid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Folder So it seems to work here, are you sure that your filter works? Check the statistics before and after ;). -- /Fredrik The Bat! 3.65.03 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 2 Current version is 3.65.03 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

I know..I meant that there was actually no filter activity going on because it usually does show up.
