For the sake of completeness there was a corrupted IMAP account. It became corrupted when trying to rename it. Seems a more complicated procedure than for POP accounts -- David Boggon [EMAIL PROTECTED] Using The Bat! 2.01 on Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 Current version is 2.01 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
v2.01 crash burn
Oh Dear! I'm on my mail-server's web interface ... v2.01 has crashed out on me. I get the splash screen up for 1 second, it disappears, and no bat!! I have v2.00 v2.00.06 exe's still on my system and trying to run them produces the same result. v2.01 was working fine for about 18hrs, and I haven't made any config changes to make this happen, just refining my IMAP account ... Help Gratefully Received!! anxiously yours, David Boggon 15 Mbytes Free Web-based and POP3 Sign up now: http://www.gawab.com Current version is 2.01 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Re[2]: v2.01 crash burn
Hello Roelof, RO Try to disable the corrupted IMAP account in the registry. I don't know how to do that, but I managed to sort it out by juggling backups that I had made regularly while reconfiguring, restaring TB firstly with the data folder removed. When I renamed my IMAP account it seems the account mail store wasn't renamed properly, which caused it to get confused. Re: v2.01 crash burn
The problem is in my data folder. Moving it allows TB to open. I assume there is a corrupted account or config file, but how do I go about identifying it? eek! this web interface is really very disturbing.
