Custom Fabricated Entrances and Windows Can Revive Your Business

2010-07-28 Thread Randee Tarrance
Custom Fabricated Entrances and Windows Can Revive Your Business

Changing tastes, as well as wear and tear, can leave buildings looking dated,
worn, or dull if they are not given a fresh look now and then to entice
customers.

Yet in today's economy, major commercial remodels are simply too expensive and
cause too much business disruption.

Enter the quick, affordable building "facelift" via custom fabricated
entrances, storefronts, windows, curtain walls, or even folding doors and
windows that can revive a business_s look with minimal disruption compared to
full remodels.

At Ramco, we can deliver custom fabricated doors and windows in as little as 2
weeks - which is much less than the industry standard 6-12 week lead time.

If you want to know more about how to give your building a fresh look, respond
here.

Sincerely,

Probably just too large of a program?
It works on x86 and powerpc at least.
Reproducing this is fairly involved currently.

[patch] pf.conf

2010-07-28 Thread Martin Toft
Hi

Attending a firewall talk at a nerdy summer camp [0], I decided to check
out the current, default pf.conf. There is no reason to exclude lo0 in
the block rule for X11, since the lo interface group is skipped.
Additionally, I have made the comments more uniform.

Yes, and if someone decides they can't use "set skip on lo0" for some
other reason, they will be opening their X wide open. On the other
hand, lo0 is specifically permitted so that people who want to talk to
their X server from inside a chroot can talk to it over lo0.

Anyways, this is a sample configuration to get people started at
learning "best practices". Best practices almost always mean "be as
exact as you can with what you want". If there was a test on "best
practices", you would fail it.

Being exact is good. Having two lines 12 apart interact in a
favorable way is normally bad.

Each rule is supposed to be usable as it stands, this is also
an example ruleset, so removing lo0 is not going to happen
(this was actually discussed not so long ago among developers).

the comment changes look ok to me though...

That makes sense. I thought about it only a second after having sent
the patch. The comment also still says "remote", which is weird without
the "! lo0" part.

pms/pmsi mouse owners unite! And test!

2010-07-28 Thread Kenneth R Westerback
There is a problem with pms/pmsi mice vs suspend/resume. On my
eeepc 1000HE for instance.

The diff below is the latest and possibly last attempt before 4.8
is locked to get this working without adversely affecting existing
performance.

If this doesn't get tested enough, all recent changes to get
pms/pmsi mice and mouse pads to survive suspend/resume will have
to be rolled back!

Test and report, all ye pms/pmsi mice owners!

AND NOT JUST LAPTOP OWNERS!! First priority is to not harm
existing devices. Even if you don't suspend/resume we need
tests! If in doubt test

 Ken
