Can we extend the term length by 3-4 weeks now and put out a call for
nominees/nominations? (u-d-a@lists.u.c and fridge.ubuntu.com probably)

Mark, if you're willing to do this, it should ideally happen today, as
our memberships are expiring in a matter of hours.

Agreed on having more candidates than seats; I think it will help
continue to keep the board vibrant.

I confirm that I'd like to be a candidate for the next TB term.

That would be my preference as well. It's always good to get fresh
blood and some rotation.

Thanks,

The entire board is up for nomination - the unusual date on mine is a
Launchpad error, my renewal should also be 9/1

This sounds entirely reasonable.

Most of you have been through this exercise before, but if you have any
doubts, there's always

any help, please let me know.

I agree. Should we implement a slight extension of expiring members'
terms to account for us failing to notice this in time? I suggest
perhaps one month, which would give us space for two weeks of
nominations and two weeks of voting.

I'd be interested in standing in such a vote.

Colin and others gave me a heads-up on upcoming expirations of tech
board positions. Time has flown by! I think (Daniel will correct me)
that the right way is to call for nominations or applications. I'd be
delighted to re-nominate any current members, I think we have a very
functional team in place in the TB and several have expressed a desire
to continue in their current capacity.

Please let Daniel and I know if you are affected and your interest in
continuing and standing in a confirmation vote. My preference would be
to have a few more candidates than seats, and have a condorset vote to
determine the final list, but we can also nominate individuals for
