NOPL instruction back in Rawhide?

2011-02-03 Thread Andre Robatino
Checking recent Koji glibc.i686 builds, the latest one (2.13.90-1 for Rawhide
from Jan. 25) appears to be the only one with the problem. The two earlier
builds (2.12.90-21.fc15 for Rawhide from Dec. 21, and 2.13-1 for F14 from Jan.
20) don't have it.

As noted on the Wiki page, uninstall ibus-* and at-spi2-atk (or you can
just downgrade that one to .5 and it should work).

On trying to boot the Test Day live image on an old machine that was unable to

Updated to today's rawhide, just 10 minutes ago. GDM comes up (without an
option to boot into XFCE which worked yesterday), enter my pass the screen
just goes black, nothing after.

Mouse works/moves, VT switch works. Don't see anything interesting in the
logs, any help or suggestions on what to log or how to help ID?

QA group really has little to do with this; all we 'own' is the QA space
in the Wiki. The general fedoraproject.org site is owned by the websites
team/SIG/group/whatever.

after you have to ^f to find the wiki link on the main page, you have to ^f
to find quality assurance on the wiki page, ("qa" is not there (as a
string)) and that assumes you already now that what are you looking for is
there. also, searching "gnome test day 2011" on the wiki page doesn't help.
i honestly believe that the "Test the next Fedora NOW!" button should be at

containig the list of tests. i hope you understand that i'm not talking

desktop team working on it ATM, should be resolved soon. gnome-shell
depends on gnome-panel at present to ensure fallback works on systems
that don't support gnome-shell; we may come up with a better mechanism
for this soon. fixed gnome-panel should hit rawhide quite soon.
