Comment (by ueno):

 Hi Mike,

Thanks for the quick response. Here are answers to the questions:

  * I have already enabled updates-testing repository with gpk-repo for
months and been updating my system daily, as recommended for testers. On
some systems I have run yum --enablerepo=updates-testing update manually
  * I have commented several updates via the Bodhi web interface and given
proper karmas if they passed the criteria listed on
 https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Proven_tester
  * I'm new to fedora-easy-karma utility but I have read the documentation
at http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_Easy_Karma and now understand what
it is and how to use it

 Regards,

GNOME Tweak Tool now ready for testing

2011-03-24 Thread Michel Alexandre Salim
Hi all,

For those wanting to more easily tweak their GNOME 3 desktop (e.g. font
adjustment), GNOME Tweak Tool should now be in your updates-testing.

https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/gnome-tweak-tool-2.91.92-3.fc15

Please test, and let me know if there are any problem on Bodhi.

Thanks,

Follow up:

hal was not installed. I was told that It has been depreciated in f 15.

hal needs to be added as a dependency for a liveusb-creator
-3.9.3-2.fc15 (noarch) install in f15 gnome3-shell

after yum install hal I tested liveusb-creator in gnome3:

- fedora-15 nightly 20110323-21-i686-live-soas.iso (downloaded from

failed iso MD5 checksum for all of them ?

# F15-Beta Blocker Review meeting #3
# Date: 2011-03-25
# Time: 17:00 UTC [1] (13:00 EDT, 10:00 PDT, 10:00 MST)
# Location: #fedora-bugzappers on irc.freenode.net

Greetings!

The third Beta blocker review meeting will be this Friday at 17:00 UTC
in #fedora-bugzappers. We'll spend time reviewing proposed and accepted
F-15-Beta blocker bugs. Please note that recent daylight savings
changes may result in a different local time [1].

The list of blocker bugs is available at
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Current_Release_Blockers, and is attached
to this mail. We'll be reviewing the bugs to determine ...
 1. whether they meet the Beta release criteria [2] and should stay
on the list
 2. are getting the attention they need

For guidance on Blocker and Nice-to-have (NTH) bugs, checkout ...
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:SOP_blocker_bug_process

== Suggested Meeting Preparation ==

Maintainers ...
  * If your bug is *not* MODIFIED ... this issue is at risk of
slipping the F15 Beta release date
  * If your bug is in MODIFIED ... please make sure a build with the
fix exists, and is available as a bodhi update.

Testers ...
  * If you REPORTED a bug ... please be responsive to any requests
for additional information.
  * If a bug is in ON_QA ... please take a moment to apply the
update, and post karma feedback

Boot time F15

2011-03-24 Thread Mike Chambers
Ok, is it just me and/or my system, that it seems to take forever for it
to boot from the time grub starts?

I've even also changed my services to only run minimal at best and it
still takes forever (ran setup commmand and turned off services via
that way).

Yes, I know debugging is turned on am sure, but this seems ridiculous.
Anything to post/show to see what it is if not known?

I think you've been asked during installation whether your account should be

This is some new anaconda feature, or what sort of administrator this is?
I've got bit scared by this, as I see the future with tons of people using

If I recall correctly from the installation, when you set up a primary
user account you are asked if you want the account to have
administrative privileges, and if you check the box, then your user is
added to the wheel group, which is set up in /etc/sudoers to be
allowed to run all commands (with password prompt).

After running yum update, which updated mutter and gnome-shell to

packages.

Somebody sees this too?

Google-Earth 64bit

2011-03-24 Thread Rob Healey
Greetings All:

I remember a little while back that one of the firefox 4.0.alpha downloads
would not work for the same reason that Google-Earth 6.0.1 will not work!

It was trying to link to /lib/ld-lsb.so.3 instead of
/lib64/ld-lsb-x86_64.so.3 like it should be!

Does anyone know of a mailing list for google-earth ...?
