Just to confirm your follow-up, I filed crashes from both RC3 and RC4

Re: Blocker Tracking App Moving to Production

2013-04-29 Thread Kamil Paral
The blocker tracking app is moving to production today and the upgrade
should be seamless from a users' perspective.

The IRC format doesn't display newlines properly, one has to display the page
source:
https://qa.fedoraproject.org/blockerbugs/milestone/19/beta/irc

Maybe it would be better to serve it as an HTML page with the text confined in
pre tag? Or the web server needs to serve it as text/plain.

And one more cosmetic detail, the Propose Bug page doesn't have any title.

I don't want to make the page HTML because that breaks my existing

And one more cosmetic detail, the Propose Bug page doesn't have any

Thanks, hadn't noticed that before - should be an easy fix.

I'd like to see (or at least begin) the discussion how to handle
secondary architectures. We had a clash during Alpha I'd like to avoid
for Beta (so there's not much time...).

And yeah, PPC arch was released pretty fast.

Just to confirm your follow-up, I filed crashes from both RC3 and RC4
testing, so definitely didn't affect Alpha.

Understood. There's a bug somewhere, however, because we should be able to
update anaconda and still have the ability to automatically capture and upload
crash data. I've filed a bug against libreport.

[Test-Announce] MariaDB Test Day tomorrow (2013-04-30)

2013-04-29 Thread Kamil Paral
Dear testers, a new test day awaits! This time it is MariaDB test day, which is
scheduled tomorrow (2013-04-30).

As some of you might know, Fedora 19 is going to experience an interesting
change in default implementation of MySQL RDBMS. MariaDB is a fork of original
MySQL and in comparison to MySQL it includes some additional features and
should be a bit faster and more stable. You will have an opportunity to test
this change during MariaDB Test day either on example components that use
MySQL-like database as a back-end or on you own testing data.

All test instructions and other details are on the wiki page:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2013-04-30_MariaDB

Hope to see you there!

[Test-Announce] Planned Outage: lists.fedoraproject.org migration - 2013-05-01 21:00UTC

2013-04-29 Thread Kevin Fenzi
Outage: lists.fedoraproject.org migration - 2013-05-01 21:00UTC

There will be an outage starting at 2013-05-01 21:00UTC, which will
 last approximately 4 hours.

To convert UTC to your local time, take a look at
 http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infrastructure/UTCHowto
 or run:

 date -d '2013-05-01 21:00UTC'

 Reason for outage:

We are migrating our lists.fedoraproject.org server to another
datacenter to allow for more resources to be available for it. This
should allow it to better keep up with our list needs and reduce
 delays in delivery and archiving.

During the outage window mailing list archives will not be available
and deliveries of mailing lists posts will queue up to be delivered
when the server is back up.

Question regarding bug filing on gnome components

2013-04-29 Thread Michael Knepher
I'm running Fedora 19 alpha, and have a question on the most appropriate
place to file bugs on gnome components like epiphany and gedit. Should I
file in the Fedora bugzilla or directly to the Gnome bugzilla?

In Red Hat bugzilla against Fedora.

It's the packager/maintainers responsability to act as a liaison between
downstream and upstream thus forward it upstream if it's relevant

Of course, the maintainer sometimes ignores Bugzilla entirely (Rhythmbox, for
instance).

Re: Blocker Tracking App Moving to Production

Hi,
Just looking on the app and found that the updates don't work, it gives
this error-
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your

application.

it's suppose to be a 500 error according to the title of the page

Maybe it would be better to serve it as an HTML page with the text
confined in pre tag? Or the web server needs to serve it as
  text/plain.

I don't want to make the page HTML because that breaks my existing
workflow with wget - that link has been around pretty much as long as
the app has, it just hasn't been visible until now.

I'll poke at changing the mime-type, though. I honestly hadn't thought
of trying that since I always used wget for the data.

And one more cosmetic detail, the Propose Bug page doesn't have any
  title.

Thanks, hadn't noticed that before - should be an easy fix.

[Test-Announce] announcing paste.fedoraproject.org

2013-04-29 Thread Kevin Fenzi
Greetings.

I'm happy to announce that our sticky-notes pastebin service is fully
live and in service for any of your Fedora Project related pastebin
needs.

A pastebin is a web application that allows you to temporarily store
small blocks of text or code for sharing to others.

You can find it at:

http://paste.fedoraproject.org/

Or use the handy command line client 'fpaste' utility available in the
'fpaste' package. Simply 'yum install fpaste' and then 'man fpaste' for
more information. (Note that fpaste versions older than 0.3.7.1-5 may
still be using the old site/api and may not work, make sure to install
a newer version).

I would like to thank the fpaste.org maintainer(s) for their long years
of service offering a pastebin to the Fedora community, and we are
happy we can take on this support burden moving forward. The fpaste.org
domain has been redirected to the paste.fedoraproject.org servers to
assist folks in migrating to the new service.

For bug reports or feature requests, please file against the
'sticky-notes' component in bugzilla.redhat.com:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/enter_bug.cgi?product=Fedoraversion=rawhidecomponent=sticky-notes

For issues with the Fedora infrastructure hosted instance, please file
in the fedora infrastructure trac instance:
https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/newticket

Sticky-notes is available under the BSD license.
See: https://github.com/sayakb/sticky-notes for upstream source.
