Rawhide experiences

2013-08-18 Thread Chuck Forsberg WA7KGX

I installed Sunday's Rawhide on mu office computer,
a 32 G Intel 3770K with Nvidia video card.

The good news is: Noveau hasn't wedged yet.
The bad news: The system responds slowly, the cursor sluggish
and jumpy. A rather disagreeable experience.

So I am back to Korora 19 with the Nvidia driver on the same hardware.
It is quick, smooth, and responsive.

update: I've one report that lightdm-gtk-1.6.0-3.fc20 build (done just
today) helps with this problem.

Thanks for the tip(s) Rex.

Answers are:

1) I don't know.

and

2) I don't know.

But I will look. :-) And let 'you' know.

Thanks again.

I've heard grumblings about this (in lightdm-gtk) over the past few weeks,
but my urging's to report a bug apparently hasn't been fruitful.

As far as I can tell, these icons are provided by gnome-icon-theme and
gnome-icon-theme-symbolic

Do you have either (or both?) installed?

If not, does installing them help?
