differences between RC3 and RC4 install images
The install images for 20 Beta RC3 and RC4 are definitely NOT identical. The checksums are different, and just looking at the DVD, the options under "Installation source" are different (RC3 only had one option, RC4 has the regular complement) and the add-ons for "Basic desktop" are different (RC3 had Security Lab, which normally isn't there, RC4 does not). There are probably other differences as well, I didn't check thoroughly. It looks like something was broken with RC3 install images and fixed with RC4. -- test mailing list test@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/test

Non-live images ought to be identical. The difference in lives is restricted to kickstart stuff only - there was a SNAFU in RC3 creation which led to the wrong kickstarts being used for the lives, resulting in the desktop live being over-size and various other effects. Non-live results for RC3 can probably be transferred over to RC4, but continue all testing with RC4 for clarity at this point...thanks! :) -- Adam Williamson Fedora QA Community Monkey IRC: adamw | Twitter: AdamW_Fedora | XMPP: adamw AT happyassassin . net http://www.happyassassin.net -- test mailing list test@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/test

Is it intentional that there is no mount point suggestion in manual partitioning in Anaconda? I can only see plain text filed where I should enter desired partition mount point manually. It's not a problem but I'm worried that I can make a typo and instead of /home my partition would be mounted in /hmoe or somewhere else. [Test-Announce] Printing Test Day today (Tuesday 2013-11-05)
The Printing Test Day for Fedora 20 is today. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2013-11-05_Printing This test day is for testing all aspects of printing, including setting up the printer, sharing printers on the network, and printing jobs. The changes in Fedora 20 are relatively minor: switching to CUPS 1.7 and Ghostscript 9.10, and some improvements to cups-filters and the "Printers" part of GNOME Settings. Remember that CUPS unit testing is only one small part of the story: printing is very much in need of integration testing. Try printing with different applications, using options you don't normally use in the print dialog. Try to see how many different ways you can break it! If you have access to a printer and a machine running Fedora 20 (a live CD is fine), please join in! We'll be on IRC at the usual place: irc://irc.freenode.net/fedora-test-day Tim. */ ___ test-announce mailing list test-annou...@lists.fedoraproject.org https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/test-announce -- test mailing list test@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/test
