As I mentioned, a whole layer involved here was switched out between
21 and 22, obviously there will be various changes above that layer to
account for it.

Typo, I obviously meant: s/f21/22

This was a bad thing that I did: using `dnf distro-sync` to upgrade from
F21 to F22 instead of `fedup` while we're in the middle of replacing
'yum' with 'dnf'. I should have used either `yum` or should have
`restorecon -R /` before rebooting!

On a system that I reprovisioned due to various other issues, I was
hitting this bug:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1204488 -- `dnf update`
results in "CRITICAL Failed to obtain the transaction lock (logged
in as: root)."

Wonder if it's legitmate. I briefly popped into #yum on Freenode, and
one of the `dnf` developers said the above bug could likely be an RPM
issue.

But if anyone else can reproduce it or not, remained to be seen.

of the screen. It looks like garbage. As if something writes into
screen buffer space by accident.

Any idea what that could be?

This may have been like that since F22 Alpha, but I'd switched to
auto-login very soon where it doesn't happen. F21 and older are not
affected.

Seeing this too, from time to time, in Beta (only 1 colored rectangle,
size: about 1.5cm x 1.5cm), goes away after login.

first install of F22 Beta TC4

2015-03-23 Thread Joerg Lechner
Hi,
downloaded TC4 -> via liveusbcreator on F21 to usb flash medium -> installation
on external disk.
First I had problems, in the first 2 trials just before or immediately after
trying the step "install to disk"
there an unknown error occured - I reported via the automatic bug reporting
system.
The third trial was a successful installation.
Kind Regards
