Fwd: Fedora on usb connected media

2016-10-02 Thread Joerg Lechner

 Hi,
I should note, that the installation with manual partitioning installed showed
after installation the same partitions as was, when I had chosen automatic
partitioning with reclaim space. My wanted partitioning was ignored.
Kind regards

Hi,
tried now wether my installation way causes the error: automatic partitioning
with reclaim space. But it isn't, made the installation medium "clean" and used
manual partitioning -> same result shown in the dracut error reporting.
Kind regards

If the USB stick contains a live image the tool will display at startup a
message to that effect (step 6) and assuming that "How to test" and "Expected
Results" are a one to one match I was looking for a notification similar to the
one that pops up *before* you are burning a RW disc.

I would actually go as far as merging "How to test" steps 1 and 2, and remove
"Expected Results" step 1. IMO step 6 is the wipe test (although a wipe happens
during the write in step 3 but that detail is transparent to user).

We should have a test day for BetterSwitchableGraphicsSupport

 Change Set :
 https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/BetterSwitchableGraphicsSupport

All modern laptops have a gpu integrated into their processor (the igpu),
some models also have a more powerful dedicated gpu (dgpu), this is called
switchable graphics. The goal of this feature is to improve Fedora's
 support for such laptops.
