How to update Fedora rawhide from Fedora 30 to Fedora 31

2019-03-07 Thread Bowen Wang
Hi All,
I have been using Fedora rawhide for months, before, the version
number of rawhide is 30, today it seems that it has been updated to
Fedora 31.
When I tried to run
sudo dnf upgrade --refresh

to update rawhide as usual, it asks me for a key to import, I chose
the Fedora 30 package signing key, and the upgrade just failed. I
tried to search online for Fedora 31 package signing key, but it seems
that there is just keys for Fedora 30, how should I get the newest
package signing key for Fedora 31?

Best,
Bowen

F30 Workstation 0301 drop updates

2019-03-07 Thread pmkel...@frontier.com

Today I updated my F30 Workstation 0301 drop using:

sudo dnf --enablerepo=updates-testing upgrade --refresh

At least that seemed like a reasonable way to do it.

I haven't finished my testing yet, but so far no new problems found and
the problem on Bug #1683740 seems to be fixed. I fiddled around with
g-c-c for a while and couldn't get it to repeat the bug.

Have a Great Day!

[Test Day] Kernel 5.0 2019-03-12

2019-03-07 Thread Sumantro Mukherjee
Hey All,

First of all, I would like to thank every one of you who help us by
participating in Test Days. We have the Kernel 5.0 Test Day coming up next
week. This is the Kernel version Fedora 30 will be shipping with out of the
box. This test day is of major importance as we would like to catch all
bugs and see if all the things are working as they should.

As always, you can find everything in the wiki[0] and drop by
#fedora-test-day over Freenode to ask any questions.

Managing virtualization in F30_MATE-Compiz

2019-03-07 Thread Robert G. (Doc) Savage
i've installed the F30_MATE-Compiz live spin to my system. Pretty much
the whole enchilada -- 4820 packages. I noticed that virtualization
support does not appear under the Applications > System Tools menu.
Indeed the System Tools lists only A packet generator to Midnight
Commander. System apps beginning with N-Z don't appear on the list,
which does not scroll by the way.

I can Add an application to the top tool bar for Virtual Machine
Manager, but that appears to be the only way to access it. It also
seems to be having some stability problems of its own.

Has anyone else noted this missing menu behavior. Is it "normal" or
should I file a bug?
