Panel applet is no longer supported in Gnome3.
I use Avant Window Navigator to get some of the stuff i like, but
gnome3 don't provide.
yum install avant-window-navigator awn-extras-applets

Thanks! Great suggestion. I've become very fond of the Mac desktop and
applets and a dock are a good addition to the G3 desktop.
