Re: Self-introduction: Emmanuel
Buona sera Alessio, and thank you for the sponsoring. I've already performed the 5.10 kernel test, and I'll have a look to the other links you mentioned. As you know, this week is devoted to testing the Kernel 5.10 [0]. This list will get updates on different testing related activities and updates from time to time. You can start to test updates in [http://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/] for Fedora 32 and Fedora 33. Update testing is where a tester tests a package and gives out a +1 Karma for PASS and -1 Karma for FAIL. You can go to bodhi.fedoraproject.org where you can sort the packages with Fedora Releases and tags viz "pending" & "testing". You can read much about update testing here [1]. You can also use the RPM package fedora-easy- karma for giving out feedbacks from the command line for the installed packages (enable the updates-testing repository!). Running release validation tests [2] [3] on Rawhide could be also useful. We usually involve ourselves in activities marked in [4], you can catch us mostly at #fedora-qa on freenode IRC or Telegram. If you have any question, please ask! Self-introduction: Emmanuel
Hello everybody, My name is Emmanuel Rousseau. I'm a 47 year-old french-speaking man living in Belgium. My first contact with linux was more than 20 years ago at university when I was a PhD student in biomedical science. At that time, I used linux on Debian or Red Hat distros mainly for data analysis and report writing using R and Latex. I use linux since that time, and Fedora has become my favorite distribution for several years now, running in all computers of the family. As you might guess from this short CV, I've no technical skill on software engineering, but I'm very curious and want to learn new things every day. Since I'm grateful to the linux community in general and to the Fedora one in particular for provinding me such great software, I'd like to contribute, doing what I can do, like participating in test days or in otherĀ QA activities. With the hope of being accepted into your group, I wish you all the best for this new year!
