[Test-Announce] [Test Day] Fedora 31 Upgrade Test Day 2019-09-23

2019-09-20 Thread Sumantro Mukherjee
Hey All,

As we approach the Final Release date
 for
Fedora 31, most users will be upgrading. This test day will help us
understand if everything is working perfectly. This test day will cover
both a Gnome graphical upgrade and an upgrade done using DNF. As part of
preparing for the final release of Fedora 31, we need *your* help to test
if everything runs smoothly.

All the details are in the wiki[0] and as usual, we will be hanging out at
#fedora-test-day on Freenode for question, bugs and discussions.

[Test-Announce] Proposal to CANCEL: 2019-09-23 Fedora QA Meeting

2019-09-20 Thread Adam Williamson
Hi folks! I'm proposing we cancel the QA meeting for Monday. We met the
last two weeks, and I don't think there's anything urgent right now.
There will be a blocker review meeting.

Thanks!

[Test-Announce] 2019-09-23 @ 16:00 UTC - Fedora 31 Blocker Review Meeting

2019-09-20 Thread Adam Williamson
# F31 Blocker Review meeting
# Date: 2019-09-23
# Time: 16:00 UTC
# Location: #fedora-blocker-review on irc.freenode.net

Hi folks! We have 5 proposed Final blockers and 1 proposed Final freeze
exception to review, so let's have a Fedora 31 blocker review meeting
on Monday!

If you have time today, you can take a look at the proposed or
accepted blockers before the meeting - the full lists can be found
here: https://qa.fedoraproject.org/blockerbugs/ .

We'll be evaluating these bugs to see if they violate any of the
Release Criteria and warrant the blocking of a release if they're not
fixed. Information on the release criteria for F31 can be found on the
wiki [0].

For more information about the Blocker and Freeze exception process,
check out these links:
 - https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:SOP_freeze_exception_bug_process

And for those of you who are curious how a Blocker Review Meeting
works - or how it's supposed to go and you want to run one - check out
the SOP on the wiki:

Have a good weekend and see you on Monday!

[Test-Announce] [Test Day] Kernel 5.2 Test Week Report

2019-09-20 Thread Sumantro Mukherjee
Hey All,

In the last Kernel 5.2 Test Day we had about 65 Testers. The new Kernel was
tested across mutiple arches and an old regression[0] was noted , the bug
was reopened and now has been
fixed.

The wiki page holds the results
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2019-07-22_Kernel_5.2_Test_Week

Thanks to all who participated and a huge shout out to jforbes and the
Kernel team for helping us
