Re: [TeX-music] Automated bar cutting

To be more precise, I would need to types of line cutting : -- the normal one, that cuts all staves at a marked point (\barre), and that leaves a mark on the score (the vertical bar |) -- an extra one, that cut each staff *independantly*, potentially after each note. Indeed a kind of \zbar but which would function inside each staff (multiple instruments). Not easy to explain. Too much bizarre I think. Re: [TeX-music] Automated bar cutting
+-- [De Daniel Taupin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, Sun, 08 Dec 2002 23:05:48 +0100] | \zbarre has the behaviour of a bar, but not visible. This macro has the expected effect, thank you. But I don't want to insert it by hand. Invisible bar cutting should be a matter of the music formatting system, depending of the width of the page. As a music typesetter, I just want to type only the visible/normal bar division (\barre). Re: [TeX-music] Automated bar cutting
Thank you Arjen for your reply. | Just an idea; I don't know if this works: | | Insert bar rules at feasible breakpoints, but use \hidebarrule to | prohibit displaying. Then use \Showbarrule for those bar rules that | are real and that should appear in the score. The problem is that lines can be cut anywhere and putting hidden bars everywhere would impose a vertical alignment of every note. So even if if works, it will set an unexpected alignment... (I only want to align the first note of every bar) Matthieu -- Matthieu Quignard Chargé de Recherche au CNRS Equipe "Langue et Dialogue", UMR 7503 LORIA Tel +33 383 59 20 34 / Fax +33 383 41 30 79 http://www.loria.fr/~quignard ___ TeX-music mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://sunsite.dk/mailman/listinfo/tex-music
