musixtex treats all hyphens as syllable breaks. You need
something like {\lyrhyphen} otherwise.

That is a good idea. There are other things too that are occasionally
needed but not provided as an abstraction in M-Tx.

[Tex-music] [M-Tx] One Note with more than one Word

2016-03-22 Thread HF. Steffani
Preamble:
%%\input german.sty
%%\leftlyrtrue
Style: SINGER
Meter: 0/4
Sharps: 1
Title: Gr"undonnerstag 2016

%%\let\qu\nq%
%%\let\ql\nq%

That works
g4 a b0a4 b g
L: 1. Die Wei-sung~des~Herrn~ist voll-kom-men
L: 2. Die Wei-{sung des Herrn ist} voll-kom-men

% I prefer line 2

That also works
a+0 g4 b c a g
L:den~{Un - wis - sen}-den macht es wei-se
L:es~er-leuch-tet die Au-gen.

But that does not work because of wrong assignment of notes and text

a+0 g4 b c a g
L:den~{Un - wis - sen}-den macht es wei-se

And that does not work too, i.e. cannot be compiled by TeX

a+0 g4 b c a g
L:den~{Un - wis - sen}-den macht es wei-se
L:{den Un - wis - sen}-den macht es wei-se

[Tex-music] [M-Tx] One Note with more than one Word

2016-03-22 Thread HF. Steffani
Hello Simon Dreher and Dirk Laurie

thanks for your help:
Some points as conclusion:
* ~ helps very much

* @> does not work :-( as it only works for upper text as mentioned in the
documentation
* the rlap-llap-solution also was not satisfying.
* but I had a look to the musixlyr-documentation and added %%\leftlyrtrue .
With this I am satisfied (for the moment).

Or you could try \rlap{as~it~was~in~the~beginning}, maybe even
\rlap{\llap{as}~it~was~in~the~beginning}. Not tested yet...

Yes, but I am typing this on my travelling laptop
in the few minutes before attending the opening
of a conference. so I'll have to ask you to find it
in the M-Tx manual. I think you need to put
something like @> before the note.

That's what I am looking for. But I am still not satisfied. With this the note
is centered above the text but I want the note above the first syllable. Is
there a way?

Depending on whether it is the last syllable:

a-men

a-men___

Number or hyphens/underscores = number of notes - 1

[Tex-music] [M-Tx] One Note with more than one Word

2016-03-21 Thread HF. Steffani
I am setting psalms with TeX and I want to use M-Tx for this. One peculiarity
that there is one note the "rezitationston" for several syllables.
How can I do this with m-tx?
ThanksHans Friedrich
