Details:

There is in fixltx2e defined \textsubscript command. This is by default
exported with ooffice expoerter as (broken) math equation.

The export is broken because subscript is in first step transformed to $A_B$
(where A is empty/missing) and then exported to mathml.

Attached patch works fine for my.

PS: 80% size is a bit large for subscript/superscript, most common styles use
values around 60%-70%.
