He's quit smoking by the way. He's a father now and wants to set a good
example... we'll see how long that lasts..

[ot_caving] China and other related topics

2008-02-21 Thread David
This e-mail is brought to you by Oatmeal To Go -

   America's favorite caving snack.

http://www.quakeroatmeal.com/qo_ourProducts/images/productShots/otgBakedApple.jpg

It was reported today on CaveTex that China is prohibiting
cavers from collecting GPS locations of caves.

I don't think that is our biggest concern with China.

They could annex the USA in a few short years, and order us to
stop pro-creating daughters. However, we may not live
long enough to witness that. They may be trying to secretly
attack us on all fronts. For example, look at all the Americans
eating at China Buffets. Their goal is to simply feed us to
death. Their other strategy is to make 100 percent of
our medicines. Then they will just slowly poison us off.
Then they plan to send their women over here, so that the
next generation of Americans will be Chinese Americans.

And add to that all the other countries that have a similar
strategy - Mexico for example.

There simply is no way we will ever go back to Mayberry.

I married a Mexican girl. She will probably never become
a US citizen. She has no desire to assimilate or learn
English. Her mom who stays with us almost half the time,
has not a single drop of desire to do anything American.
My wonderful daughter who is 3 1/2 is considered Mexican-
American. My hope is that this trait will help her in the
life ahead. But deep down inside I am concerned that
there will always be people who resent people with mixed
heritage.

[Texascavers] food suggestions for ICS

Maybe we can get these folks to set up a

However,

I don't agree with their list of Spelunker's Favorites.

Note they claim that spelunkers are people that study caves.

UNDERGROUND

Underwater grottos, caverns
Filled with apes
That eat figs.
Stepping on the figs
That the apes
Eat, they crunch.
The apes howl, bare
Their fangs, dance,
Tumble in the
Rushing water,
Musty wet pelts glistening in the blue.

A French lab has announced a self-healing rubber compound that could potentially be made into various items useful for caving. Imagine coveralls, packs, gloves, boots and ropes that can repair themselves after being cut!
