 Subject: [Texascavers] Fwd: doe at the feeder this morning

 A stretch for caving related only because we are all lovers of the
 outdoors. These doe gather regularly at the continuous feeder immediately
 (250 feet) behind my home. I have a great picture of four eight point
 bucks gathered together here. May send if I can locate. I love Dripping
 Springs.

[Texascavers] Beer related

2014-11-17 Thread David via Texascavers
Most of you like to drink alcohol. Please do not drive after having a
drink.

I work for attorneys that claim to help drivers, boaters and motorcyclist
whose license is suspended.

It has become nearly impossible in southeast Texas to get the suspension
reduced or dismissed. And while that may be great, some drivers allege
they just had a sip.

Please email me privately for more details if interested, as I can not post
it publicly.

[Texascavers] Bat rabies related

2014-11-17 Thread David via Texascavers
I mentioned recently that my step-father was treated for a bat bite or
scratch.

He had 1 of 5 rabies shots and that allegedly cost $23,000. He did not get
the other 4 shots, because after he had the first shot, the results showed
the bat did not test positive.

He was sick after all that, so everybody that knew him was very worried.
I do not know hat other medical bills were involved.

[Texascavers] Where's it from?

2014-11-17 Thread Marvin Miller via Texascavers
Here's a Locklearian post:

What ancient text is the following taken from?

1There is a mine for silver
and a place where gold is refined.
2 Iron is taken from the earth,
and copper is smelted from ore.
3 Mortals put an end to the darkness;
they search out the farthest recesses
for ore in the blackest darkness.
4 Far from human dwellings they cut a shaft,
in places untouched by human feet;
far from other people they dangle and sway.
5 The earth, from which food comes,
is transformed below as by fire;
6 lapis lazuli comes from its rocks,
and its dust contains nuggets of gold.
7 No bird of prey knows that hidden path,
no falcon’s eye has seen it.
8 Proud beasts do not set foot on it,
and no lion prowls there.
9 People assault the flinty rock with their hands
and lay bare the roots of the mountains.
10 They tunnel through the rock;
their eyes see all its treasures.
11 They search the sources of the rivers
and bring hidden things to light.
