Re: [Texascavers] Related to speleo-vehicles
Humvees use the same 6.5 liter GM (detroit) diesel as I have in two pick up trucks, theres not a lot of power but they're fairly good engines with decent mileage, parts are cheap compared to cummins and international.. the extra weight and full time 4wd oughta hurt the mpg but perhaps putting taller gears in it might help lower rpms and improve fuel economy.. I always said that if I had the money to buy a Lambo I'd get a Hummer instead Nico El dic 16, 2014 4:20 PM, Charles Loving via Texascavers texascavers@texascavers.com escribió: Used Spanish Land Rovers in Angola and at time the Mercedes Unimog a real interesting vehicle the ones we used had twin machine guns mounted on them. [Texascavers] Cave question
Just for fun: Presume there were a large cave passage on the planet Mars. Would the cave blow or suck at the entrance ? Could methane or other similar gases be trapped in the cave ? If so, could they seasonally escape ? If there were a liquid flowing vertically downwards, would it look like a waterfall in slow-motion ? What would it mean if there were a deeper limestone cave on Mars than Krubera ? ___ Texascavers mailing list | http://texascavers.com Texascavers@texascavers.com | Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/texascavers@texascavers.com/ http://lists.texascavers.com/listinfo/texascavers
