Re: [Texascavers] Flooding?
Lyndon, As I think June responded, we are well and safe. No water problems here. Hope all is well with you and yours. We arrive at Paradise Canyon Friday and hope to see you there. Mandy and Jenny will be there also. Fritz and June. [Texascavers] TSS Meeting at TCR
For those who are interesting in learning about the activities of the Texas Speleological Survey and seeing what the TSS is currently working on, we will be holding a meeting at TCR following the conclusion of the TCMA meeting. We will also have all of our publications for sale at the TSS tent, so drop on by! [Texascavers] TCR and TCMA
Howdy, well it's wet out there but hopefully drying up some for TCR which is this weekend at the lovely Paradise Canyon! TCMA will be there and looking forward to seeing you! On Friday night, we will be wine tasting and celebrating Bill Steele's birthday, rumor has it there will be awesome live music by the Gary Franklin Band (or at least some of its members)! This is not an official TCMA function, but will be well attended by our members. Please stop by our table/booth throughout the weekend. We love new members/renewals and will be selling t-shirts, including the annual event t-shirt by the talented Chris Vreeland! There is limited internet and cell reception at the campground, so we are hoping folks bring cash (or check). On Saturday at noon, we will have our members meeting. We will discuss the upcoming board election and hopefully introduce some prospective new board members. Bring your lunch and hang out with us! Should last about an hour or so. Location TBD, usually near the office. >From 11 am to 5 pm on Saturday, TCMA will sponsor the Ropes Challenge headed >by Ken Demarest. This should be interesting, so come on by to either >participate or watch; there's a fabulous prize for the winner! Unfortunately, the wet weather has prompted us to cancel our art silent auction. We don't want those lovely works of art getting soggy! We appreciate all the support donors have shown us! We will make up for it at Spring Convention! And wrapping it up on Sunday morning from approx. 8 to 10 am, we will be serving breakfast, suggested donation of $5 (plus) per person. Breakfast tacos, coffee, juice, fruit, yogurt, that kind of thing! Please bring your own cups, plates, utensils. Save a tree! Looking forward to seeing you lovely people there! Cavers ain't afraid of no rain or mud!
