[NMCAVER] Name change for SWR Winter Technical
I saw the event announcement for the Southwestern Winter Technical Regional coming up this December 5th, 2009. I want to make a clarification on the name of the suites. Suite 20 is marked as World Financial Group, not World Group Securities, Inc. Suite 30 is marked Jordan Enterprises, Inc. Both of these suites are located at 5600 Wyoming Boulevard NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109 on the ground floor. If anyone needs a better map for the office, please do not hesitate to call the office and speak to myself or Leonard Rodriquez. [NMCAVER] GypKaP Event and WNS cleaning procedures
The upcoming GypKaP event, concerning the WNS cleaning procedures, need to be implemented regardless of which cave one goes into. We need to protect against cross-contamination everywhere. So to start off, all equipment must be clean before entering any cave this weekend. Keep your equipment in a bag or tub, when you have taken it off leaving the cave. Bring an extra pair of camp clothes to hang around camp in. The people going into one cave will not be able to go into another without cleaning their gear. [NMCAVER] GypKaP Event Announcement Oct 17-18, 2009.
Hello all, It has been a long week at the Balloon Fiesta, but I'm back in action on this fine Monday morning. There will be a GypKaP this weekend out at Targoc cave on October 17 and 18. We will be doing preliminary work in the cave as well as on the surface. I also plan to start resurveying Zia Christine cave on the west side of the gyp plains, just up from Capitan, NM. I will have the directions to get out to Zia Christine at the camp. We will meet out there sometime Friday night or Saturday morning. I will arrive sometime late Friday night, due to my kids and wife schedules. The meeting will start at 8:30am so we can move on our day a little bit quicker. I have acquired an administrative permit for both days to begin the resurvey project. NOTE: We will be implementing White Nose Syndrome procedures in keeping our equipment clean for protecting the bats. MAKE SURE YOUR EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN CLEANED PRIOR TO ENTERING TARGOC CAVE. Thank you. For those who won't be going into Targoc, you don't need to be as strict in cleaning your stuff. The directions will be emailed out separately in other email.
